For years asphalt parking lots have been
resurfaced and maintained exclusively with
asphalt products. Concrete has long been
recognized as a material with higher
structural strength and durability. The cost of
concrete paving has historically been higher
than asphalt and cost prohibitive. Now with
the latest advances in modern technology,
concrete resurfacing, known as
whitetopping, allows us to use concrete
instead of asphalt materials for parking lot
maintenance.

Whitetopping combines the use of ready mix
concrete, admixtures and high strength fiber
reinforcement to provide a longer lasting,
higher strength parking lot pavement.
Through the use of a “panelized” jointing
pattern, the concrete pavement is able to
remain flexible over the underlying asphalt
pavement to withstand even the
harshest Midwest winters. |

LEED Certification
Eco-friendly characteristics help concrete lots
contribute to important LEED credits.
Reduced Lighting Cost
Due to the lighter color of concrete and
higher reflectivity, the cost of site lighting is
reduced by up to 60%
Heat Island Effects
Reductions due to High Albedo
Recycled Materials
100% recyclable
Oil Free Product
Concrete is manufactured locally and not
dependent on oil products |
